Daylight Design Variations Book
The Daylight Design Variations Book is developed as a tool for designing daylight openings (windows, rooflights, sheds, etc). The objective is to show a large number of daylight openings and their impact on a space.
The tool was developed by Jan Diepens, Ferry Bakker, and Laurens Zonneveldt in 1998.
The tool can be downloaded from this GitHub website.

The tool consists of 3 steps:

2) Analyze the daylight conditions in your home office for the following purposes: ensure wellbeing (m-EDI), avoid intense daylight (DGP), optimize daylight in the workplace (UDI), and ensure sufficient daylight in the home office space (sDA)
3) Optimize your home office according to your preferred purpose.
This tool has been developed as part of the EngD thesis of Verena de Kok, in collaboration with Velux. The tool is available in English and Dutch and can be downloaded from this 4TU.ResearchData website.
