Senses versus Sensors
TU/e BOOST project
The objective of this project was to develop a building physics measuring device for educational purposes that students can use to study and explore the relationship between their own perceived physical response and the measured quantity. A total of 300 Senses vs Sensors (SvS) devices were produced and used by in total ~600 first year bachelor students. 82 % of the students indicated that the use of the device contributed to their comprehension of the Indoor Environmental Quality. The device contains sensors to measure air temperature, humidity, illuminance, and sound pressure. The production of the devices was done by the TU/e Equipment and Prototype Center.
